Artist's Profiles: Tonex

Tonex the artist behind the most eagerly anticipated debut of 2001 got a second chance to make a first impression with the release of “02”, his sophomore project and earned a Stellar Award for best Rap/Hip Hop Gospel CD, but Verity music execs are hoping the third time is the charm for the San Diego-based singer/evangelist.  The youngest of six boys born to Pentecostal ministers, Tonex has been generating a great deal of buzz thanks to the success of the Evolution II tour, which doubled as an optimal lead in the rollout of the new first ever live recording, entitled “Out The Box”, featuring Kirk Franklin and Sheila E.
