Men of Standard have instantly made their mark as one of contemporary gospel's outstanding groups. Their debut album "Men of Standard" signaled the stellar opening of Malaco Record's new Label, Muscle Shoal Sound Gospel. The group of young men soon swept up two of gospel's most coveted honors: A 1997 GMWA Excellence Award – Contemporary Group of the Year, and a 1997 Vision Award – New Artist of the Year. Not only has the widely popular Men of Standard album regularly hit Billboard's Top Gospel Albums chart, its single – "Winter" – drew raves and rotations from top radio stations across the country.
